Surfing the 'net for porn can be a daunting task if you don't know how to do it 'carefully'. With blind links, popup hell, and ad jungles, it's no wonder people are beginning to hate the adult side of the web.

Well, with some minor adjustments to your surfing habits, and a little bit of know-how, you can become a pro at surfing for porn, and you won't have to worry about the jungle that is all around you.

Being that I own an Adult Internet Site, I have taken it upon myself to educate those who care to learn about how to surf for porn and lower your risk of an un-enjoyable experience.

The Adult side of the Web can be very pleasurable if you know what you are doing. There are MANY worth while sites out there.

Q: What are popups?
A: Popups, or 'consoles' are new windows that automatically pop open when you enter a particular page that is set up with a 'console script'. For the most part, they contain advertising of one sort or another. Webmasters use them as another way to offer their products to their surfers.

Q: How can I get rid of them?
A: Well, you can't exactly 'get rid' of them. However, you can learn to 'handle' them a little easier. If a particular site pops just one console, it's easy to just close the new popup, and continue surfing. However, some webmasters get a little carried away in the popup department, and you end up getting 4 and 5 consoles in a row. With every one you close, a new one pops up. This can piss off any of us, and I know for me, it will be a cold day in hell, before I go back to the offending site. In this instance, the best way to deal with it is to 'beat it'...that is, beat the console by closing the window BEFORE it loads into the screen. The faster you can close the console, the better chance you have that a new one won't pop up because the script didn't have time to fully load.

Q: I clicked a link, but it took me somewhere other than where it said it would, why?
A: This is called a 'blind link'. Blind links are used by webmasters who would like to push traffic to a certain page that would normally not receive a large number of visits. It is a tactic used, for the most part, to 'trade traffic' with other webmasters. LadyX does not use blind links, as we feel they are not conducive to a healthy relationship with our surfers.

Q: What's with all the ads?
A: The Adult Internet is run on money, surprise surprise. Any 'free sites' you will come across will most likely have advertising on them for several reasons. a: to pay for site costs including hosting and content cost; b: to make money. Webmasters don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts, although it's nice to think so. Building adult websites is a JOB, believe it or not. It is alot of work to build, maintain, and run an adult site, and webmasters must be compensated for their hard work...hence, ads on their free sites are how they go about doing that. If you would like to keep online porn free, it is desirable to click on sponsored links every now and then to support the free sites that you visit.

Q: How do I get into membership sites for free?
A: The 'password' sites out there are a crock of shit. Period. Paysite owners are hip to these. If a password is accessed from an IP that is different from the one that purchased the membership, it will be redirected to a different page. BUT, if you want a legit free membership site, there are several good '4free' membership sites out there. Here's a list by category of the ones I found pretty good.
